Francis Lai, born in Nice on April 26, 1932 and died on November 7, 2018 in Paris, is a French composer and musician, specializing in film music, credits and songs. He is notably the author of the music for the films Un homme et une femme and Love Story. For the latter film, he received the Oscar for best film score in 1970.
